How to use the Network Participation Dashboard

The participation dashboard enables you to track participation on the level of network, community, and class lead. Unlike reports, which are updated weekly, the Participation Dashboard is updated every night

Participation Overview numbers:

  • Communities show the number of communities in your network.

  • Class Leads shows the total number of unique class leads in the network.

  • Classes shows the total number of classes in the network.

  • Students shows the total number of unique students in the network.

  • Enrollments shows the total students listed on every class roster, counting students each time they appear in a different class. The number of enrollments is usually higher than the number of unique students because the same student might be in two or more classes. Enrollments are used as the denominator in all Participation Rate calculations. Learn more about enrollments.

  • Respondents shows the number of unique students who responded to at least one survey.

Participation by Survey:

  • # of Respondents shows the number of unique students who responded to the survey.

  • Participation Rate calculations account for the fact that students might be enrolled in multiple classes. They show the percent of enrollments that resulted in a valid response to a given survey. The denominator for the participation rate calculation is enrollments, not unique students, because students may have been invited to participate in more than one class. Learn more about how participation rates are calculated.

  • # of Class Leads meeting minimum participation threshold shows the number of Class Leads who had a 50% or higher participation rate in at least one class for which they are the class lead.

  • % of Class Leads meeting minimum participation threshold shows the percent of Class Leads who had a 50% or higher participation rate in at least one class for which they are the class lead.

Participation by Community:

  • # of Respondents shows the number of unique students who responded to the survey in that community.

  • % Participation Rate calculations account for the fact that students might be enrolled in multiple classes.
