Student Reflections on Learning Conditions

In a 2022 study, students were more than 2x as likely to earn a B or better in math when they rated learning conditions most positively rather than most negatively, and the relationship between learning and math grades holds even when controlling statistically for student race, gender, age, grade level, Free and Reduced Price Lunch (FRPL) status, and previous grades in the same math class.. Elevate helps teachers gather feedback from students to understand if they are experiencing critical learning conditions and partner with them to determine practice changes that will maximize their learning environment.

A. How Students Experience Elevate

Educators are often concerned about over surveying students. However, when student feedback is validated and acted upon, a feedback process that includes a survey can be a powerful experience for students.
