Each year, the PERTS team considers partner feedback as well as learnings from the field to determine the highest leverage features and updates for Elevate. For the 2025-26 school year, we’re proud to share various ways we’re enhancing the program experience throughout the school year.
A Welcome Survey to Gather Feedback
Beginning this September, a welcome survey will appear when any individual logs into Elevate. The survey only takes two minutes to complete and will help PERTS tailor Elevate to teachers’ needs and provide relevant resources throughout the year, such as custom practice recommendations to try. Once the survey is complete, it won't appear again and you'll be able to access Elevate as usual.
My Classes Report
PERTS is pleased to introduce the My Classes Report, a report that displays data from multiple Classes in a single report. When an individual is the Class Lead for multiple Classes, a My Classes Report will allow them to see aggregate data for all of their classes, and also to compare Learning Conditions across Classes, in one simple report. My Classes Reports will save teachers time and effort to determine how to act on students’ feedback. Class Leads will still be able to access a unique report for each Class.
Automated Practice Recommendations (Beta)
Beginning this Fall, PERTS is piloting a new feature that will automatically direct teachers to research-based practices that are targeted, simple to implement, and impactful.
Once teachers collect survey responses from at least 60% of their students, they’ll see a prompt to select a focal learning condition to improve when they review their individual Class Report(s) or My Classes Report. Then, in a new tab, they’ll see a recommended practice that can help them improve that learning condition, as well as the option to view additional practices.
Coming Soon! Makeover for the Elevate Practice Guides & New Math Practices
The Elevate Practice Guides are getting a new look this Fall and evolving into a browseable practice library with research-backed change ideas teachers can test with their students. Our robust practice guides, developed in partnership with the University of Chicago Consortium on School Research, will still be accessible, but teachers can move to action more seamlessly by reviewing a specific practice, including a detailed plan to implement the change and tips and resources for success.
PERTS is also proud to introduce new practices, specifically for math classes. These simple and effective practices were informed by research with teachers and students about what works for students at many different grade and skill levels. They were developed in collaboration with WestEd and with funding from the Gates Foundation and will be available soon.
Coming Soon! AI-Powered Chat (Beta)
Later this Fall, PERTS will randomly select individuals using Elevate to test an AI-powered chatbot that can respond to questions promptly, such as where to find a report or how to add students to a Class. This chatbot can help teachers, CoP facilitators, and Leads get their questions answered immediately and save time that would have otherwise been spent researching or waiting for a response.
Once the chatbot is activated, Beta testers can expect a chatbot icon to appear on program webpages, allowing them to ask questions as they wish.
